I feel the AOS staff was very well prepared and knowledgeable about each curricular area. All teachers were enthusiastic, energetic and responsive to student needs. They were very professional and accommodating.
The academic content was of a very high level, challenging and enriched by references to practical application of knowledge. The schedule was very appropriate and balanced. [It was] reaffirmation that outdoor educations benefits to students extend well beyond academia to socio-emotional, mental and spiritual health of all those involved.
Without a doubt, connections with new friends outside of a familiar setting provided them with the opportunity to establish new social and or personal paradigms. Sensitivity/awareness of self and other was heightened. Personal abilities and fears were discovered, acknowledged and overcome.
