A message to teachers from our founderENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
Every teacher dreams about having a group of students come to the learning experience with a deep desire to internalize what you want to share with them. One way of facilitating such an encounter is to place the student in an environment that will stimulate his/her curiosity and desire to learn. OUTDOOR EDUCATION Are students interested in observing animals in their natural habitat, skipping rocks across the surface of a lake, exploring a tide pool, watching sunsets, counting stars, living with fellow students in a cabin or tent, getting to know what their teacher is like when he/she takes off the cloak of classroom authority and has fun with them? A wise teacher makes learning fun, so I suggest you consider taking your students into an environment that is totally different than what they experience everyday and allow that experience to enhance what you are doing in your classroom. We would love to partner with you in broadening your students' lives. Bob Frembling Founder American Outdoor Schools |
